NE Dubois Hires Assistant Principal, Announces Intermediate School Hearing in Tuesday Board Meeting
Dubois - In a Tuesday night school board meeting, Northeast Dubois Junior/Senior High School named a new Assistant Principal in addition to scheduling a hearing for future construction.
Future Superintendent, and current Principal Dr. Tara Rasche and future Principal Andy Chinn recommended to the board that Tracy Gutgsell be hired as the Assistant Principal for the Northeast Dubois Junior/Senior High School.
The board approved the hire.
The Northeast Dubois School Board took another step in the process of re-working the Intermediate School Gym and other areas within the school. The Intermediate school saw large-scale flood damage in late August of 2021.
Whether the shell of the 70-year-old gym will be retained or rebuilt has not been determined.
Other business:
-The board approved an A.P. Biology class trip to the Lousiville Zoo
-The 7th-grade class will be allowed to attend a Louisville Bats game on April 28th
-Full 5th-grade field trip to the Kentucky Science Center
-A former temporary teaching position will be made full-time, the position will be opened and interviews will be held.
