National Emergency Dispatcher Week Approaching
Dubois Co.- Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community, are honored.
This week-long event, initially set up in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California, is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. The week of April 9th through April 15th 2023 has been set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication.
Dubois County 911 Director Stuart Wilson wants to encourage all of you to honor your Dubois County Telecommunicators. Please help you make National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2023 a memorable one.
"Feel free to stop by for a visit, give some words of thanks, bring some snacks or gifts, or feed the crew on shift who are working another 12 hour shift to keep our community safe," said Wilson.
