
Multiple Tornadoes Confirmed Saturday Across the Area, Damage Reported

TELL CITY -- The National Weather Service has confirmed multiple tornadoes touched down in the area Saturday.
An EF – 0 hit Main Street in Tell City, damaging roofs and bending an amateur radio tower.
A tree blew onto a garage in town and multiple large trees were downed.
The twister had peak winds between 70 mph – 80 mph and was on the ground for just under two miles before breaking up at the northern end of Quaker Road.
An EF-1 tornado also touched down in Stanley in neighboring Warrick County.
That one packed winds of 110 mph and cut a 2 and a quarter mile path, blowing out a wall of a home and damaging roofs and crops.
An EF 0 tornado was also confirmed in Hancock County, Kentucky.
Luckily, no injuries reported in any of Saturday’s tornadoes.
