Multiple Area COVID Deaths Reported Tuesday, Dubois County Numbers Spike Again

JASPER -- Another Dubois County resident has died from complications of COVID-19.
That announcement coming Tuesday afternoon. It brings our death toll to 35.
62 new cases were also reported in Dubois County bringing our seven-day positivity rate to 18.1%
The county remains under a CODE ORANGE designation. It’s likely to be elevated to CODE RED this afternoon due to that high positivity rate… well above the 15% threshold needed for a red designation.
Elsewhere across the area, three new deaths and 21 new cases were reported in Warrick County.
Daviess County lost another resident to the virus. They added 16 new cases in the last update.
One new death and eight new cases have been reported in Pike County; 50 new cases in Lawrence County.
Spencer County added 11 new cases to their total; six in Orange and two in both Martin and Perry counties.
DISTRICT 10 HOSPITALS: Includes Dubois, Daviess, Martin, Pike, Perry, and Spencer Counties and points west.
19% of the ICU beds in District 10 are available as of the Tuesday update.
43% of the occupied ICU beds are treating area COVID-19 patients.
74% of the district’s ventilators remain available at this time.
