MORNING TRUCK CRASH RESULTS IN INJURY OF PASSENGER
A single-vehicle crash this morning, September 3rd, on I 69 in Greene County resulted in a passenger sustaining head injuries.
According to the preliminary Indiana State Police investigation, a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Clemente D. Cahuich, Age 55, of Reidsville, North Carolina, traveled southbound on the interstate near the 101-mile marker before going left into the median. The pickup truck continued in the median before the driver overcorrected and yawed off to the right side of the interstate. The 2007 Chevrolet traveled into a ditch, up an embankment, and rolled. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing westbound.
Emergency services personnel, firefighters from the Center Township Fire Territory, and the Indiana State Police responded to the crash. A front seat passenger, Eliezer D. Cahuich, Age 57, of Reidsville, North Carolina, was treated for a head injury and flown via helicopter to Eskenzi Hospital in Indianapolis. The crash remains under investigation.
