Mitchell, IN Man Charged for Fatal OVWI

Daviess Co. – The Daviess County Sheriff’s department has made an arrest in a fatal OVWI crash.

Allen Weldy, 40, of Mitchell, Indiana was arrested on Thursday for Operating a Vehicle while intoxicated resulting in death. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

He had no prior convictions.

The OWVI resulting in death is a level 4 felony. There is no bail amount set.
