Millions of Hoosiers Now Unemployed, Insurance Plans Available For Laid Off Workers

STATEWIDE -- The coronavirus has forced millions out of work across the United States. 

With that, millions of Americans no longer have health insurance coverage through their employer. 

As of the end of March 7.3 million Hoosiers are unemployed, 1.1 million of which became unemployed during the month of March when the virus forced hundreds of businesses to furlough or lay off workers. 

Insurance plans are available through Hoosier Healthwise and the Healthy Indiana Plan.
