Messmer Honors Lincoln Amphitheatre's 35th Anniversary at the Statehouse

Local Sources - On Thursday, State Sen. Mark Messmer (R-Jasper) presented Senate Resolution 24 honoring the Lincoln Amphitheatre in Lincoln City upon its 35th anniversary.

The Lincoln Amphitheatre, located near the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, is one of the largest roofed amphitheatres in the Unites States, with a total of 1,500 seats. The amphitheatre hosts concerts, movie showings, plays and more through the spring, summer and fall.

"This venue has provided entertainment to those in southern Indiana for more than three decades," Messmer said. "I'm grateful to each and every person who has helped maintain this incredible resource in our state. Entertainment serves as an excellent way to draw Hoosiers together, and the Lincoln Amphitheatre does just that."

The Lincoln Ampitheatre opens the 2022 Performance Series on May 14th with Garrison Keillor Tonight.
