Memorial Hospital Officials Urge You to Get Healthcare You Need Even During COVID-19 Pandemic

JASPER -- Officials with Memorial Hospital in Jasper are urging residents to continue to get the health care they need when they need it, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement released Thursday, a hospital spokesperson said Memorial Hospital and its clinics are open and continue to follow additional safety protocols to provide safe emergency and essential care.

The statement continues, “delaying care may create greater risks to your health. In addition to in-person visits, our clinics also offer appointments with a provider via computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera, microphone and access to the Internet.”

“Utilizing telemedicine services is a great alternative for those who are unable or uncomfortable with coming in for an office visit,” Dr. Adam Dawkins, cardiologist at Memorial Hospital’s Heartland Cardiology, explained. “It is important for individuals to continue seeking health care services during this pandemic. We don’t want small issues to turn into bigger issues down the road.”
