Memorial Hospital Has Tested a Total of 70 People in Dubois County For COVID-19

JASPER -- Memorial Hospital in Jasper is releasing information about COVID-19 testing.

As of Friday, 70 tests were submitted by the hospital.  40 of those tests were negative.  Results are pending on 27 others.

US Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams has listed Indianapolis among one of six new COVID-19 hotspots.  This is due to significantly growing cases, and hospitals are gearing up for an influx of COVID-19 patients.

Indianapolis is listed among other cities like New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Local health officials say avoid travel unless it’s critical, especially if you’re driving to Indianapolis.
