Masterbrand Cabinets Donates $5,000 to Red Cross for Tornado Relief Efforts in Kentucky

Jasper - MasterBrand Cabinets is donating $5,000 to Red Cross to help support emergency relief efforts in Western Kentucky after last week's severe storms.

The Jasper-based business issued the following statement on the donation.

This past weekend more than 100 trained Red Cross disaster workers are on the ground in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri. Trained Red Crossers are helping people cope during this heart-wrenching time and replacing prescription medications, eyeglasses, or critical medical equipment, like canes and wheelchairs. Certified mental health professionals who volunteer for Red Cross provide emotional support and grief counseling for those affected by this disaster. Supporting the communities where we live and work is a key pillar of our giving efforts.

· Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear established the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund to assist those affected by the storms.

· The Kentucky branch of Feeding America distributes ready-to-eat food bags to people in several affected counties. Donations to the organization's tornado relief fund offset the cost of the meals.
