WASHINGTON -- A Washington man is in jail facing felony charges after a struggle with police.

Police went to the home of 27-year-old Thomas Hughey on Saturday on charges of violating a protective order.  The home is an RV camper located on his parent’s property.

Investigators say Hughey barricaded himself in his bathroom and refused to come out.  Officers used a chemical agent to get the man to surrender, but the spray didn’t work.

An officer was eventually able to get the door open and took Hughey into custody after a struggle.

He’s charged with felony Stalking and Intimidation.  Hughey is also facing misdemeanor counts of Invasion of Privacy, Harassment and Resisting Law Enforcement.
