Louisville Man Arrested on Possession Charges at Jasper Home Depot

Jasper - A Louisville man was arrested on possession charges at the Jasper Home Depot on Thursday after an initial reckless driver complaint.

At 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jasper Police Department received a tip of a reckless driver pulling in the Home Depot Parking lot. Upon officers' arrival, the Jeep Grand Cherokee was unoccupied. Though, a short time later, an individual, later identified at Joseph Kamely, 41, of Louisville, exited the store and attempted to enter the vehicle.

Officers described Kamely's actions as "erratic and jittery". Jasper Police K9 Mack was deployed for narcotics detection and indicated towards the vehicle. Officers reported Kamely becoming increasingly agitated and aggressive prior to walking back into the store.

A search of the vehicle turned up 14 syringes. Officers located Kamely inside the store; he was arrested at that time for possession of syringes.

Concerned employees stated the Kamely had been frantically yelling and running through the store. At one point he allegedly ran out the back door prior to his arrest.

K9 Mack was once again deployed in the rear of the store, where on a stack of wooden pallets, one gram of methamphetamine was found.

Kamely was arrested on two felony counts of Posession of Syringe and Possession of Methamphetamine and was transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
