Loogootee Man Arrested for OWI Tests at Four Times the Legal Limit

Jasper - Thursday, a Loogootee man was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, testing at four times the legal limit.

On Thursday, the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to a reckless driver headed southbound on Newton from 47th Street. Officers conducted a routine traffic stop near Burger King with the vehicle. 

After further investigation it was determined that he operator of the vehicle, Matthew Flynn, exhibited signs of intoxication. Officers conducted a field sobriety test which the subject failed. 

The subject was taken to Memorial Hospital in reference to a chemical test. Matthew Flynn’s certified chemical test resulted in .33. Flynn was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center and charged with OWI with prior conviction, OWI above .15, and OWI endangerment.
