Longtime Haysville Firefighter Lowell Dorsam Laid to Rest Saturday

HAYSVILLE -- Haysville firefighter Lowell Dorsam was laid to rest Saturday.

He passed away December 29th at his home in Haysville.

Dorsam was an active firefighter for over 50 years.  He joined the Haysville Fire Department back in 1964.

He went on to be an assistant chief, then the chief of the department.

 Dorsam was a member of the Haysville Park Board, Haysville Water Board, and the Jasper Outdoor Recreation.  He also mowed the Haysville park for over 30 years, was the Grand Marshall of the Haysville Bicentennial and played softball in the Haysville men's league.

Lowell Dorsam was 79.
