Local Projects Put on Hold Due to Rain, Culvert Replacement to Happen Today
From Local Sources
DUBOIS COUNTY -- Monday’s rain threw a wrench into some planned worked across Dubois County.
First, the culvert replacement on CR 600 East was supposed to be completed yesterday. It is happening today (Tuesday) instead. CR 600 E is closed about 2,000 feet south SR 64 until about 3 p.m.
Monday’s rain is also impacting water line work scheduled for Monday just east of Stendal. That means the water outage for some customers will happen later in the week.
Tom Thacker told me it won’t be today, but contractors may start by midweek, depending on the conditions out there.
About 30 Holland water customers east of Stendal could be without water once the work begins, but, again, until things dry up that won’t be taking place.
