Local Officials Warn Flushable Doesn't Mean Treatable

JASPER -- Flushable doesn’t mean treatable, that warning today from officials in both Jasper and Ferdinand. 

They say, due to the toilet paper shortage, there is an increase in the use of flushable wipes and non-flushable materials such as baby wipes, napkins and paper towels.

Officials ask the community to refrain from flushing anything other than toilet paper, otherwise, the systems could get clogged.
