Local Law Enforcement Join ICAC Task Force
Dubois Co.- Local law enforcement agencies are now a part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).
The Dubois County Prosecutor’s office released their office’s detective Rick Chambers and Jasper Police Detectives Greg Brescher and Josh Greener completed training that allowed their agencies to join the statewide program. In the months since the agencies joined the task force, they have received four complaints/tips involving Child Pornography to investigate.
The ICAC was established in 1998 in response to a growing number of children and teenagers using the internet and other technology. Records show there was a number of sexual abuse images available electronically and a heightened number of predators active seeking unsupervised contact with minors.
If you know of any child that has been a victim of a crime, report it to your local law enforcement agency and the Department of Child Services. More information on the ICAC task force can be found on their website www.in.gov/isp/icactf.
