Local Coalition Receives State Award
Local Sources- The Coalition Against the Mid-States Corridor was recognized on Saturday.
The group received the Frontline Organizer of the Year Award from the Hoosier Environmental Council. According to a press release, the award was given in recognition of their ongoing work.
According to coalition officials, they say the 54-mile terrain highway could be harmful to the environment and displace people from their homes.
The award presentation was also joined with a forum on the Clean Water Act and panel discussions on Indiana Environmental Policies.
