Dubois Co.- One local business owner is being recognized for his years of service to the community.
In 1993, Boy Scouts of America Buffalo Trace District held their first Distinguished Citizens Award banquet. After twenty-nine other winners, Andy Krempp of Krempp Construction was honored as the 30th.
Krempp was in scouting in his young life, making it to the Star Rank. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, one of scouting’s most prestigious honors. On Wednesday night, he was also added to a long list of distinguished members.
“It was very unexpected,” said Krempp, “I’m very happy to be here.”
Krempp retired from his businesses last year.
