KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: More Road Work Begins Today Across the Area
FROM TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS
AREA WIDE -- More road projects begin Monday across the area.
That means you may have to find another way to get around town.
JASPER:
Cathy Lane is closed starting today between Terry Lane and 25th Street.
Crews there are performing a concrete road replacement. Work is expected to last several weeks.
Several businesses in that area are still open.
PIKE COUNTY:
S.R. 356 is closed east of Petersburg for a drainage project.
The closure is in the area near 18th Street and S.R. 356. The roadway will remain closed until the end of July.
DAVIESS COUNTY:
SR 57 is closed beginning today in Elnora.
INDOT crews are doing work near the intersection of S.R. 58 to the intersection of County Road 1600 North. Work is expected to take about two days depending upon weather conditions.
The detour follows State Roads 58 and 67 and U.S. 231
CRAWFORD COUNTY:
The southbound lane of the S.R. 145 bridge spanning Fleming Creek remains closed about a tenth of a mile north of S.R. 164. Crews are performing a bridge deck overlay project.
During the project, traffic will be controlled by temporary signal and one 14-foot lane will be open at all times. Wider loads will need to seek an alternate route. Work on phase one is expected to be complete by the end of July depending upon weather conditions.
PERRY COUNTY:
S.R. 145 remains closed about three miles north of the intersection at S.R. 37. Crews are performing a drainage structure replacement that will require excavation across all lanes of traffic.
During the project, the road will be closed around the clock. Work is expected to take about 14 days depending upon weather conditions.
Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but all other traffic should use the official detour following S.R. 37 to S.R. 145.
