Kimball International Announces New Boston Showroom Location
Jasper- Kimball International has announced a new home for their Boston Showroom. Debuting in the late summer of 2023, Kimball International will be relocating from their current space at 70 Federal Street to a new 12,500-square-foot showroom at 281 Summer Street. In this larger floorplate, Kimball International will showcase five of their brands: Kimball, National, Etc., Interwoven, and Poppin.
Conveniently located at the entry of the vibrant Seaport District, this street level space will feature Kimball International’s workplace, healthcare, and education-focused furniture solutions. The new showroom will be an experience hub where Kimball International’s customers and distribution partners, as well as the design and commercial real estate community, can visit to create connections and be inspired by the products, solutions, and resources offered.
Nestled between Boston’s Inner Harbor and the Fort Point District, Seaport is a thriving community that offers one-of-a-kind art installations, upscale and unexpected dining and entertainment options, and scenic outdoor spaces like Harbor Way (a pedestrian promenade stretching from Summer Street to the water’s edge). Just a two minute walk from the Boston Tea Party Museum, the new Kimball International Boston Showroom offers an intriguing backdrop with exposed brick walls, high ceilings, natural light, and original character.
“We are thrilled to be moving to a new and larger space where we can really highlight who we are as Kimball International,” said Jessica Gubbins, Senior Director of Marketing, Kimball International. “Whether joining us to experience our products, participate in a learning experience, thought leadership event, or simply socialize, we are excited to create an interactive environment for our guests.”
Continuing a long-standing relationship, Kimball International selected Eastlake Studio as their partner to design and develop this new showroom space in Boston, following their design partnership with the new Fulton Market showroom location in Chicago. “Eastlake Studio is thrilled to continue our collaboration with Kimball International on their new Boston location,” said Peter Randolph, Director and Architect, Eastlake Studio. “With our deep understanding of their company (thanks to our partnership on the new Fulton Market showroom location) we are excited to extend the experiential design that is being developed there to the Boston space.”
