JPD: Paraphernalia Found inside Stolen Truck
Jasper- Jasper Police officials say a stolen vehicle investigation led to an paraphernalia arrest.
JPD was alerted to a stolen black 2013 Chevrolet Silverado traveling on North Newton Street Tuesday afternoon around 3:30. Officers would locate the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot.
JPD K9 Officer Mack conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and positively indicated possible narcotics inside. JPD searched the vehicle and reported finding paraphernalia inside.
Through their investigation, officers confirmed the vehicle to have been stolen and identified the driver at the time to be 53-year-old Joseph Fransted. Fransted was arrested and taken to the Dubois County Security Center.
The charges against Joseph Fransted are:
- Motor Vehicle Theft (Level 6 Felony)
- Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor)
