JPD: Paraphernalia Found during Battery Investigation

Jasper- Jasper Police report officers arrested Zackary Gilbert Tuesday.

JPD says officers responded to a domestic battery situation around 10:00 am. Gilbert was accused of the battery, which caused injury to another person. When officer’s located him, Gilbert attempted to flee. He was caught shortly after.

While searching Gilbert’s tent on the railroad tracks east of Fairview Avenue, police located drug paraphernalia inside. 

Zackery Gilbert was taken to the Dubois County Security center on charges of:

  • Domestic Battery (Level 6 Felony)
  • Domestic Battery (Level 5 Felony)
  • Domestic Battery (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Invasion of Privacy (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Paraphernalia (Class B Misdemeanor)
  • Resisting Law Enforcement (Class B Misdemeanor)
