JPD: Man Accused of OWI with Child in Car

Jasper- Jasper PD reports a man is accused of an OWI with his daughter in the vehicle on Wednesday night.

Officers pulled over 40-year-old Branden Lauer at the intersection of 15th and Mill Streets for not wearing his seat belt. During the interaction, officers believed Lauer to be intoxicated with his juvenile daughter in the back seat. 

A blood draw showed Lauer had a BAC of .094%, just above the legal limit of .08%. He was arrested and taken to the Dubois County Security Center.

OWI Endangerment with Prior Conviction

OWI with Prior Conviction

Possession of Paraphernalia

He was cited for failure to wear a safety belt and having an open container.
