JPD makes burglary Arrest
On November 2nd at approximately 04:30 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a
burglary in progress at the address of 426 W 14th Street. Upon arrival the male suspect was located in the driver seat
of his vehicle parked in front of the residence. The male subject identified as David Porter, disregarded verbal
commands from police to exit the vehicle and then attempted to flee the scene. Officers were forced to utilize
physical tactics along with a taser deployment to extract Mr. Porter from his vehicle. Mr. Porter was taken into
custody and lodged at the Dubois County Security Center on the above charges. "All suspects are innocent until
proven guilty in a court of law"
