JPD: Indianapolis Woman Accused of Driving nearly three times the legal limit

Jasper- An Indianapolis woman is facing OWI charges in Jasper.

Jasper police report 39-year-old Melissa Swimm was involved in a single vehicle accident on Mill Street Friday night. Officers say the incident happened just after 9:00 pm eastern.

Swimm showed signs of impairment according to police and would show a BAC of .212. She was transported to memorial hospital, where she would test a presumptive positive for oxycodone. 

After clearance, Swimm was taken to the Dubois County Security Center. She faces charges of OWI, OWI Endangerment, OWI with a controlled substance listed as Schedule 1 or 2 in the blood, and OWI with a Concentration of .15 or more.
