Jasper Wreck Yields $20,000 in Damages, Neither Vehicle Operational

Jasper - A Tuesday wreck in Jasper left both vehicles involved out of operation.


After 8:30 p.m., Jasper Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Sixth and Newton streets in reference to a traffic accident with possible injuries.

During the investigation, officers determined that a 2003 Ford Explorer, driven by Leigh Ann Doss, 25, had failed to yield to oncoming traffic while attempting to turn west onto Sixth Street.

As a result of the wreck, neither vehicle was operational.

Occupants of both vehicles were cleared by EMS at the scene.

Doss was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
