Jasper Woman Arrested After Falling Asleep in Running Car

Jasper - A Jasper woman was arrested on Sunday after falling asleep behind the wheel and testing positive for illegal substances.


On Sunday at 1:43 a.m. the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to report of a female subject passed out in a vehicle with the car running at Sunoco Gas Station. 


Upon officer’s arrival, female subject was identified as Taylor Frick, 24, of Jasper, and showed signs of impairment. Frick failed field sobriety test and was taken to Memorial Hospital in reference to a chemical test. 


Frick tested positive for methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, opiates, MDMA, and marijuana. 


Frick was charged with OWI and booked into the Dubois County Security Center. Memorial EMS and Dubois County Sheriff’s Department assisted on scene.
