Jasper Water Department to Begin Fall Hydrant Flushing Next Week

Jasper - The Jasper Municipal Water Department will begin their fall hydrant flushing on Monday, September 13th.

Flushing hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting. The Department says that flushing will last for several weeks until all hydrants in the city have been flushed.

The water will be safe for human and pet consumption.

The Department asks the public to exercise caution when doing laundry, as staining of laundry can occur. They recommend that, should you notice cloudy or discolored water, run your cold water tap until it clears.
