Jasper Tree Giveaway Will Be Drive Thru Only Wednesday at Parklands

JASPER — The Jasper Park & Recreation Department, Jasper Chamber of Commerce and Patoka 2000 is again sponsoring the annual tree giveaway.

This year’s event will be drive-thru only due to the COVID-19 outbreak and begins at 9 a.m.Wednesday, April 22, at the Parklands, 800 W. 15th St.

All City of Jasper and Dubois County Health Department recommendations will be followed.

Seedlings from the state nursery will include redbud, red oak, white oak, sugar maple, persimmon, sycamore, tulip tree, American plum, pecan, pawpaw, and black cherry. Each person will be limited to six seedlings.
