Jasper Senior Wins JA Scholarship

Huntingburg- Jasper High School senior Jacob Welp is a winner of the 2023 Junior Achievement Scholarship.

Welp, a senior honors student at JHS, ran Cross Country and Track while at Jasper, and is a member of the Business Professionals of America (BPA). He is also an eagle scout. 

The scholarship was a high honor, he shared.

“To be a Junior Achievement Scholarship winner, it means the world,” Welp said, “Working hard, teaching many things to young kids, inspiring kids, with JA Business kids can do anything.”

Welp plans to attend either Western Kentucky or Indiana University in the Fall of 2023. He hopes to grow a power washing company and follow Indiana Senator and 2023 JA Business Hall of Famer Mike Braun’s advice of faith, family, community.
