Jasper Police Say Man on Stolen Moped Hit by Vehicle, Sent to the Hospital

JASPER -- Jasper Police are investigating after a man on a stolen moped was hit by a vehicle this morning.  It happened on Main Street near 5th Street around 8:30 a.m.

The driver of the Nissan told police he didn’t see the moped while turning left onto 5th Street.

The moped driver was taken to the hospital for a broken arm and head trauma.

Police say the moped was reported stolen.  

The investigation continues.
