Jasper Police Find Meth Following Hit-and-Run Crash Friday Afternoon
From Local Sources
JASPER -- A Jasper woman is in jail today after a hit-and-run crash Friday afternoon.
Police say Taylor Frick was driving on Leslie Drive around 1:40 p.m. when she allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to another vehicle entering the intersection with Northwood Avenue.
The vehicles crashed, but police claim Frick got out of her vehicle and fled the area on foot.
Several witnesses say she had a purse when she fled the scene, but it was missing when she was taken into custody a short time later near the scene.
Officers found the purse about a block away. Inside, they found meth and marijuana.
Frick is facing possession charges. She’s also cited for driving without ever receiving a license.
