Mitchell Men Arrested on Possession Charges After Jasper Dispute Call
Jasper - Saturday morning, two Mitchell men were arrested on possession charges after police received a report of an ongoing dispute.
At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jasper Police Department was notified of a potential domestic battery occurring in the Walmart parking lot. Prior to officers' arrival, the men left in a vehicle. Officers caught up and conducted a traffic stop at 47th Street and Newton Street.
Upon the stop, officers deployed a K9, Mack, for narcotics detection. At the scene, officers arrested Michael Robbins, 28, and Joshua Day, 35, both of Mitchell.
Day and Robbins were both charged with Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Disorderly Conduct, and transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
