Jasper Man Tased, Arrested in Late-Night Sunday Traffic Stop

Jasper Police Officers conducted a routine traffic stop after 10:00 p.m. Sunday night near the intersection of Newton Street and Second Street. 

Brett Huffman, 33, of Jasper, allegedly became noncompliant with officers when asked to exit his vehicle. According to police, Huffman became combative with officers, who then deployed a taser.

Huffman was lodged into the Dubois County Security Center and charged with Resisting Law Enforcement.

Memorial Ambulance Service, Dubois County Sheriff’s Department, and Indiana State Police assisted on scene.
