Jasper Man Resists Law Enforcement after Leaving Scene of Accident
Jasper- A Jasper man is facing five charges after a late night arrest.
Last night just before 11:30, officers responded to a leaving the scene of an accident call at the Southside McDonalds. According to a press release from JPD, a witness on scene informed officers that Cory Brown, 37 of Jasper, was heading to the Dewey Street Lofts and was possibly intoxicated.
Officers located Brown at the Dewey Street Lofts, but he resisted them and battered an officer. After his arrest, Brown was taken to the Dubois County Security Center and faces charges of:
- Leaving the Scene of An Accident
- Battery on Law Enforcement
- Resisting Law Enforcement
- Public Intoxication
- Disorderly Conduct
