Jasper Man Found Unconscious Behind the Wheel Charged with Four Counts
Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Jasper Police Officers were dispatched to Smoker Friendly Discount Tobacco for a welfare check on a man unconscious in the drive through area. When officers arrived the vehicle was still running, officers then conducted Field Sobriety Tests on the man they identified as John W. Carroll, 28, of Jasper.
Carroll was transported to memorial for a chemical test. Vehicle was towed by Sternberg’s. Carroll was then lodged into the Dubois County Security Center.
Carroll was charged with Driving While Suspended Prior (A Misdemeanor), Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (C Misdemeanor), Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Prior Conviction (Felony Level 6), and Operating a Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Concentration equivalent to .15 or more (A Misdemeanor).
