Jasper Man Arrested on Three Outstanding Warrants

Jasper - A routine traffic stop for expired license plates landed a local man behind bars on Saturday.

On Saturday, while on routine patrol, an officer with the Jasper Police Department noticed a vehicle in front of his had license plates on it that expired in 2016.

A traffic stop was conducted with the vehicle near 6th and Bartley.

A check on the driver showed that he had 3 outstanding warrants for Auto Theft, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Trafficking with an Inmate out of Daviess County Indiana. Michael P. Archer, 42, of Jasper was taken into custody and lodged at the Dubois County Security Center.
