Jasper Man Arrested on Drunk Driving Charges

Jasper - A Jasper man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol over the holiday weekend.


On Sunday, Jasper Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Toyota Tacoma for travelling 40 miles-per-hour in a 25 MPH zone.

During the traffic stop, Officers believed that the driver, Patrick Schipp, 50, of Jasper, was intoxicated.

After a field sobriety test, Schipp was taken in for a chemical test. The test revealed a BAC of .179%, over twice the legal limit of alcohol.

Schipp was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, OWI Endangerment, and OWI with a BAC of over .15%
