Jasper Man Arrested for Throwing Fireworks from Vehicle, Public Intoxication

Jasper - Wednesday night, Jasper Police arrested a local man for flinging fireworks from the passenger side of a moving car and public intoxication.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. Wednesday evening, the Jasper Police Department was dispatched to the Riverwalk area near Azura Restaurant in reference to a call of a car passenger throwing fireworks at subjects. Officers located the vehicle shortly after at the Days Inn parking lot.

It was determined that Antonio Mota-Espinoza was throwing fireworks out of the vehicle. Mota-Espinoza was charged with criminal recklessness and public intoxication and was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
