Jasper Man Arrested after Fight with Son
Jasper- The Jasper Police Department reported a fight happened just before 7:30 PM Monday night.
Officers say they were called to a North Portersville Road residence due to a “physical domestic”. During their investigation, police report 40-year-old Reed McKnight and his son were involved in a physical altercation, or fight.
Both McKnight and the unspecified son were taken to the Jasper Police Department and interviewed. Following, Reed McKnight was arrested and charged with domestic battery and strangulation.
He was transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
The following news release was sent to us:
"THE JASPER POLICE DEPARTMENT RECEIVED A 911 CALL AT ABOVE LOCATION IN REFERENCE TO A PHYSICAL DOMESTIC THAT HAD OCCURED. DURING INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED REED AND HIS SON WERE INVOLVED IN A PHYSCIAL ALTERCATION. REED AND HIS SON WERE TRANSPORTED TO JASPER POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR INTERVIEWS. REED MCKNIGHT WAS TRANSPORTED AND LODGED INTO DUBOIS COUNTY SECURITY CENTER ON CHARGES OF DOMESTIC BATTERY AND STRANGULATION."
