Jasper Hosting Annual Tree Giveaway

Jasper's annual tree giveaway is still taking place this year, with a few modifications.  

This year’s event is scheduled for Wednesday April 22nd starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Parklands, located 800 W. 15th St. The event this year will be drive-thru only due to the COVID-19 outbreak. All City of Jasper and Dubois County Health Department recommendations will be followed.

This year’s seedlings from the State Nursery will include the following species: Red Bud, Red Oak, White Oak, Sugar Maple, Persimmon, Sycamore, Tulip Tree, American Plum, Pecan, PawPaw, and Black Cherry. Each person will be limited to six seedlings.

The annual tree giveaway is sponsored by the Jasper Park & Recreation Department, Jasper Chamber of Commerce, and Patoka 2000.
