JASPER Holdings Participates in Bridge the Gap Tornado Relief Fund

Jasper - Jasper Holdings, Inc. (parent company of Jasper Engines & Transmissions) has been working with the United Way, and Kentucky companies, to find a way to help people displaced by the devastating tornado that struck Bowling Green and surrounding areas December 11th, 2021.

Bridge the Gap is a program established where people and organizations can apply for assistance to "bridge the gap" between what insurance, including private and public funds, covers. The United Way of Southern Kentucky will administer the funds as designated by the Bridge the Gap Board. A goal of $1 Million has been established.

“JASPER Holdings, Inc. has agreed to a Matching Fund for Bridge the Gap to help our neighbors,” said JASPER Chairman/CEO Doug Bawel. “JASPER will match dollar for dollar, up to $125,000 raised from Jasper Holdings, Inc. Associates, their family and friends, and customers of our various brands, with a Goal of $250,000 to this group.”

An EF-3 tornado tore a path of destruction through Bowling Green and surrounding areas during the early morning hours of December 11th, 2021. The storms killed 15 people and destroyed an estimated 100 businesses and 500 homes.

“When you see the devastation that took place throughout Kentucky, we wanted to help our partners,” Bawel said. “We thought participating in Bridge the Gap was a good way to help our neighbors, and therefore we established this matching grant program.”

To make a tax-deductible donation, checks must be made payable to the United Way of Southern Kentucky, noting Bridge the Gap Tornado Relief Fund in the memo line. Jasper Engines & Transmissions will collect donations to match; all donations will be sent to the United Way of Southern Kentucky.
