Jasper High School graduate receives scholarship from Association of Counties, SRI, Inc.

Jasper- Jasper High School graduate was the recipient of a $500 scholarship presented by the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) and sponsored by SRI, Inc. 

AIC’s Dustin Renner and SRI, Inc.’s Zach Hughes, presented the scholarship to Riley Fischer during a Commissioners Meeting at the Dubois County Courthouse. 

Riley Fischer is a graduate of Jasper High School in Dubois County. She is the daughter of Stacey Fischer. Stacey works at the Dubois County Health Department as the Immunization Clerk. Riley’s future plans are to attend Purdue University – West Lafayette campus and major in Nursing.

Four students from across the state were awarded $500 scholarships. Scholarship recipients are spring 2023 graduates from Indiana high schools who planned to attend a school of higher education in Indiana in the fall of 2023. Eligibility required applicants to be an employee of or the custodial child of an Indiana county employee.

The recipients will be honored at the AIC’s Annual Conference next month and at a county commissioners’ meeting in each winner’s home county. For more information about the scholarships, please contact Elizabeth Mallers at [email protected].
