Jasper Girl Scout Killed in Freak Accident Laid to Rest as Fundraiser Draws in Nearly $17,000

From Local Sources

JASPER -- Isabelle Meyer was laid to rest Monday morning in Jasper.

She was killed when a tree fell on her at a Girl Scout camp in Perry County last week.  Huge crowds packed Precious Blood Catholic Church to pay their respects to the Girl Scout.

Meyer was being raised by her grandparents and a go-fund-me page has received hundreds of donations.

As of Tuesday morning, that fundraising campaign has raised nearly $17,000 to help the family with those funeral expenses.
