Jasper Elementary School to Host Wildcat Walk Fundraiser on May 16
Jasper Elementary School will host the Wildcat Walk, a school wide walk-a-thon fundraiser, on
May 16 to raise funds for the school and promote health and wellness.
Jasper Elementary PTO and the UpgradeTM committee are hosting the event. Students will
participate at the Jasper Middle School track. Students will have the opportunity to raise money
for their school and walk with their classmates and family members for 30 minutes around the
track. All funds raised will go back to enriching the school.
“The Wildcat Walk is such a fun day for our students and great for both their mental and
physical health,” said Mr. Taylor.
Jasper Elementary PTO provides a variety of resources for both students and staff. Their
mission is to enhance the educational experience for all students at JES, to develop a deeper
connection between school and home by encouraging parental involvement, and to enrich the
environment at Jasper Elementary School through volunteer and financial support.
The UpgradeTM program provides evidence-based programs in schools to develop healthy
student behaviors for daily success.
“We hope our students, families and the community will support this event and help us reach
our goal of raising $50,000” said Kristin Braun. “Every dollar raised directly benefits our school,”
Braun said.
