Jasper Driver with Juvenile in Truck Bed Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

Jasper - A Labor Day traffic stop for a juvenile riding in the bed of a pickup truck led to drug charges for a Jasper women.


Monday afternoon, a Jasper Police Department Officers stopped a vehicle for allowing a juvenile to ride in the bed of the pickup truck while in operation on the roadway. 

While speaking with the driver, Amber Mahan, 34, of Jasper, Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted. 

After further investigation, Mahan was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mahan was arrested and transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
