Jasper Church Warns Scammer is Pretending to be Local Priest Asking For Gift Cards

JASPER -- Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper is warning residents about a texting scam going around.

The scammer pretends to be Holy Family’s pastor, Father John Boeglin and asks for help buying gift cards.

Church officials say this is not Father Boeglin.  You’re asked not to respond to the text and to block the number on your phone.
