By: Corbin Lingenfelter, News Director
Jasper- The Indiana National Guard is looking to increase its communication with the communities they serve.
The Jasper Chamber will be welcoming Indiana National Guard Colonel Matthew Handy to the Jasper Train Depot for a Coffee and Conversation. Col. Handy will be talking about a wide range of topics, such as what the National Guard does for the state and local communities, and how businesses can help the Guard.
“If you have employees, encourage them to join the National Guard,” said Chamber Executive Director Nancy Eckerle, “It takes very little time away from your workplace. You also then have employees who are good, reliable, and show up for work.”
This is a free community event being put on by the Chamber, and RSVPs are not necessary. The Chamber will provide coffee, water and light refreshments.
Col. Handy will be at the Jasper Train Depot on Wednesday June 21st, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Eastern.
